Honestly, it's the BEST accommodation we've stayed at and we felt very much at home.
We stayed at Misty's with 2 kids. from the very first communication with Misty she's been kind and helpful, which made our trip easier. The house's location is just perfect for people looking to stay away from the crowds yet still be surrounded by beach, restaurants, massages...
In the house we found basket with bath essentials which is such a treat! also a basket of fruits and water. It was easy and comfortable to cook in the kitchen and eat (we were provided with baby chair!).
One of the greatest things was a guidebook that Misty and Michel created that had many recommendation and important information. Misty also drove around the island to get us a baby car seat when we rented a car. It's like having a local best friend in Koh Samui!
Overall our stay was amazing. Thanks Misty and Michel for your kind hospitality.

We loved our stay at Baan Suay Bantai! Comfortable, clean and very convenient (laundry, massages, gorgeous beach, 7/11 and good restaurants all within walking distance). My friends and I are digital nomads and we also appreciated the fast WiFi.
We stayed at Misty’s place for a couple of days and enjoyed being embedded in a local neighbourhood while only a short walk away from the beach. This is a beautiful refuge surrounded by plants and we wouldn’t hesitate coming back 😊

Our stay at Baan Suay Bantai far exceeded our expectations. Misty personally welcomed us and gave us the lowdown on the house and the locality, which really helped us orientate to our surroundings quickly.
This little gem is slightly off the tourist trail which is exactly what we were looking for. The beach which is only a short walk away is never crowded, there are a few good Thai eateries that serve up reasonable and mouth-watering food and the neighbourhood is quiet yet strategically located close to conveniences(minimart/ 7/11 etc).
The house itself comes equipped with a fully functional kitchen and beach gears (beach towels, snorkel mask, mats) are provided for, which is a real bonus!
This place truly stands out because of Misty and Michel’s attention to details and their warm hospitality.

I can honestly say that Misty and Michel are some of the best hosts I have ever had on Airbnb.
The house is immaculate and just as pictured and they have gone the extra mile to make me feel at home. From the adorable sustainable and eco-friendly bathroom products to the incredibly helpful welcome pack, it’s clear that Misty and Michel really care about their guests.
Misty helped me book tours to see some of the sights of the island and gave me some tips on how to find the best views! Nothing was too much trouble and every time I had a question, she or Michel were only a text message away.
Misty even dropped me off some Aloe Vera when I told her I had got sunburnt! Both of them are fantastic and if Airbnb had any sense they would get them to train all their hosts.

Our family of four stayed at Baan Suay Bantai 2 for almost two months. The house is very comfortable and just a short walk to a lovely and peaceful beach. It is also in a very green area, indeed you can look out your window and see buffalo grazing under the coconut palm trees.
Misty and Michel are gracious hosts who did their best to help us with whatever we needed and to resolve issues in a timely manner.
We can highly recommend staying there under their care.

Nice traditional house, some 7 min walk to the nice Baan Tai beach that is not so big and not so busy. local stores, restaurant and Thai massage just around a corner. Calm at night, in the quiet street.
Misty and Michel are great hosts available all the time for local tips and recommendations, very responsive and organized us airport transfers in advance. We felt comfortable, safe and away from more crowded area of Koh Samui. Easy access with songthaew or taxi arranged from neighbors to other areas.

The house is cozy and beautiful, there are all the necessary amenities for your stay, and even more, because the hostess added a lot of nice little things, such as a swimming mask, a straw beach mat, board games for evening leisure, a set of care products for the face and hands, natural washcloths, disposable hygiene products, coffee, tea and sugar, olive oil and much more... And candles, it's so cute, it's a cozy way to light candles in the evening. As a greeting in the house, we were waiting for a basket of fruits. All things, dishes, products of excellent quality, all the best, you can see that the hostess packed the place with heart.
The beach is within walking distance, but had a car and preferred to drive to and explore many different beaches.
Listen to the hostess's tips, she gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to stay. A nice surprise was a general cleaning service with the replacement of linen in the middle of our stay in the house.

Baan Suay Bantai not only matches the description, but exceeds it in many aspects.
A very nice traditional and modernized Thai house for those who are looking for something special, like (very) high and airy rooms and the combination of natural stone and wood. The second floor with separate bedroom and bath/WC can be used with its own privacy. We were two and could each time only with difficulty decide whether we should use the huge cozy balcony there, or the beautiful veranda on the first floor.
The house is ideally located and very quiet and idyllic on the small access road to Bantai about halfway between the ringroad (7-Eleven) and the beach. It is set back about 50 meters inland, so you will not hear any traffic noise.
The house was equipped with everything you need. In addition, there were many small and lovingly supplemented things and attentions (welcome gifts, various eco-cosmetics, etc.). Special requests were met immediately.
Misty and Michel are very sympathetic people and perfect hosts. Communication was always very quick and smooth. They arranged our pick up from the ferry and got us a scooter. They were very helpful in everything. Any minor problems were taken care of immediately.
We would love to come back again.

The place had a great location in our opinion. Many good restaurants nearby, a beautiful beach nearby and the downtown area was also easy to reach by scooter. Despite the many possibilities to do what to do, the location was still nice and quiet to relax.
The place itself was very clean and had plenty of space to offer. It was all wonderful.
Let's get to the host, she's just great. She gave us such great tips for activities and no matter what, we could always reach out to you. She was always available and gave us an even more beautiful holiday due to her great way. Thank you Misty for this great time with you !

I had a wonderful time in this beautiful vacation home. Being among the locals made me feel truly immersed in Ko Samui. The veranda was my favorite spot. I enjoyed having breakfast or drinking coffee in peace while watching the birds rummaging through the bushes right in front of me. It's a lovely house with a comfortable bed and a nice shower.
A 2-minute walk to the beach and another 2-minute walk in the opposite direction to find more activity. It's a prime location. I had a bike that allowed me to explore in all directions.
What I also really appreciate is how much Misty & Michel know about the island. They know the most beautiful spots, Thai customs, excursions, you name it. And they were always willing to answer my questions or help with anything.
Can I give it 10 stars too 😉?

Misty is a great host, we absolutely recommend her! She is very communicative, she gave us great recommendations, helped us with drivers who had fair prices, her home is beautiful, spacy, the beach is 5-10 minutes away.
Restaurants and supermarket are right on the corner and also a laundry service (which is really good) is 1 minute away from the house.
We felt very well here and we will definitely come back if we travel back to Samui! Thanks for everything, Misty! :)

If you are looking for a neighborhood where you’ll be surrounded by locals in one of the quiet villages, this is a great choice. The proximity to the ocean, restaurants, and shops among the villagers makes you feel part of their community.
Misty is a great host who will take care of you and help you in any situation, is open to any suggestion, and instantly responds to all questions and requests.
A large, spacious, colonial-style home gave us a sense of a real journey through time and space. We recommend it wholeheartedly!

A wonderful stay with serene tranquility.
We were able to spend two days at Baan Suay Bantai, my partner, my 8-year-old daughter and myself.
The house and the rooms were not only spacious, but also equipped with two bathrooms and a kitchen with all the necessities, which made it easy for us to prepare something ourselves without leaving the house. The living space offered a sense of comfort, far from the confines of a traditional hotel room. An entry into pure Thailand.
Starting the day with a cup of coffee on the balcony was a real pleasure, accompanied by the melodies of birds singing and the rustling of palm leaves. Spotting beautiful birds, lizards, geckos and bats in the evening completed the day.
Michel and Misty, who know the island like the back of their hands, enthusiastically shared their extensive knowledge of Thai culture, flora and fauna, practical matters and activities in the area. They also have a handy book full of information, tips and excursions to browse through and get ideas. They were also on hand to assist with planning activities, allowing us to fully enjoy ourselves without getting bogged down in detective work.
From bicycles to beach mats, snorkel sets and games, everything was taken care of down to the last detail, making our stay a wonderful experience on Koh Samui.

All in one this accommodation experience was overly welcome and a true blessing! We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the view and drinking our morning coffee.
The location is super nice. Located in a quiet street that offers a peaceful retreat from the busy parts of the island. We could easily walk to our favourite restaurants, but the best part is that the beach is only an eight minute walk away.
We rented scooters so going around the island was very convenient and we got to really experience life on Koh Samui - also through Mistys expertise and the tips she provided us. Not only did she give us helpful tips, she also helped us booking trips as well as with answered every other question we had around the house immediately. She really cares for the people staying at your place - we can only recommend experiencing it yourself!

The house is in a very beautiful setting. The bedrooms can be kept pleasantly cool at any time thanks to the air conditioning. The equipment is just as good as described, the beautiful beach towels and the large straw mat for 2 people have served us well. Kitchen utensils are abundant, enough tea towels, a variety of glasses. Also the clothes rack on the balcony to dry our things. Misty was very caring for us. With all questions and problems, we could always reach out to her and Michel, we always got an answer within a few minutes and if something was missing or was not right, it was immediately remedied. It felt like you were with good friends. Coffee and tea were provided as well as all bathroom utensils and toiletries, including the toothbrush, disposable razor, and make-up cloths. You didn't need to bring anything from home.
